  • Like a thief in the night…

Communism is the god of discontent, and needs no blessing. All it needs is a heart willing to hate, willing to call envy “justice.” Equality then means the violent destruction of all social and cultural distinctions. Freedom means absolute dictatorship over the people.

Sounds like a police state, yet similar underlying conditions are developing in American youth, under our own nose. How? Because of prescribed permissiveness in American public schools: police are required to enforce the most basic, necessary child control. Kindergarteners are being arrested, handcuffed, and taken out of their schools, because only the police exercise physical authority in schools: teachers have abdicated discipline. Other adults merely frustrate the child with meaningless words.

Through this new Communism, the child is in this sense “equal” to the adult, and thus controls the day. The child answers only to the police. Children are indoctrinated to expect police intervention for safety and discipline. Control doesn’t come from the adults in schools, or the adults at home, but rather from the police, or Big Brother.

“Policed” conditions already exist in other countries of the world. And the need for a world police state, a global government, has been advocated for decades. But no one thinks about the role indoctrinated children play in the development of such a world.

Learn from America: Leftist school legislation says teachers must not control the child. Let the child rule.

This generation of children may become the next street thugs whose rebellion paves the way for a more authoritarian state. And no child will be left behind. (source)

    Communism and the Family

    And…

Democracy would be wholly valueless to the proletariat if it were not immediately used as a means for putting through measures directed against private property and ensuring the livelihood of the proletariat. The main measures, emerging as the necessary result of existing relations, are the following:

    (i) Limitation of private property through progressive taxation, heavy inheritance taxes, abolition of inheritance through collateral lines (brothers, nephews, etc.) forced loans, etc.

(ii) Gradual expropriation of landowners, industrialists, railroad magnates and shipowners, partly through competition by state industry, partly directly through compensation in the form of bonds.

(iii) Confiscation of the possessions of all emigrants and rebels against the majority of the people.

(iv) Organization of labor or employment of proletarians on publicly owned land, in factories and workshops, with competition among the workers being abolished and with the factory owners, in so far as they still exist, being obliged to pay the same high wages as those paid by the state.

    (v) An equal obligation on all members of society to work until such time as private property has been completely abolished. Formation of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

(vi) Centralization of money and credit in the hands of the state through a national bank with state capital, and the suppression of all private banks and bankers.

(vii) Increase in the number of national factories, workshops, railroads, ships; bringing new lands into cultivation and improvement of land already under cultivation – all in proportion to the growth of the capital and labor force at the disposal of the nation.

(viii) Education of all children, from the moment they can leave their mother’s care, in national establishments at national cost. Education and production together.

(ix) Construction, on public lands, of great palaces as communal dwellings for associated groups of citizens engaged in both industry and agriculture and combining in their way of life the advantages of urban and rural conditions while avoiding the one-sidedness and drawbacks of each.

    (x) Destruction of all unhealthy and jerry-built dwellings in urban districts.

(xi) Equal inheritance rights for children born in and out of wedlock.

(xii) Concentration of all means of transportation in the hands of the nation.

It is impossible, of course, to carry out all these measures at once. But one will always bring others in its wake. Once the first radical attack on private property has been launched, the proletariat will find itself forced to go ever further, to concentrate increasingly in the hands of the state all capital, all agriculture, all transport, all trade. All the foregoing measures are directed to this end; and they will become practicable and feasible, capable of producing their centralizing effects to precisely the degree that the proletariat, through its labor, multiplies the country’s productive forces.

Finally, when all capital, all production, all exchange have been brought together in the hands of the nation, private property will disappear of its own accord, money will become superfluous, and production will so expand and man so change that society will be able to slough off whatever of its old economic habits may remain.

  • If you’re white you have to prove you’re not racist by voting for Obama.

The press is fomenting race riots if Obama doesn’t win in November. Several stories have been posted in the last few weeks that specifically said that if you don’t vote for Obama then you’re a racist. Several Democratic politicians and Hollywood types have publicly stated this same meme recently. I’m telling you that they are TRYING to foment this to actually happen if McCain wins. Be prepared for riots on November 5th.

AP’s Racist Poll – If Obama Loses It’s Because He’s Black

Old Media Helps Obama Push False Rush Limbaugh Imigration “Quote”

CNN’s Cafferty – Not Voting Obama? You’re Racist

    And now today…

The AP now has a story which claims that our Constitution enshrined slavery within its text!!! How much more screeching and gnashing of their teeth will they show between now and the election. This is insane. The MSM is completely unhinged in its bias now. They have ZERO credibility with me now. When a newspaper sales person comes to my door trying to get me to subscribe, I am not even civil anymore. I tell them I wouldn’t subscribe to them if they were the only paper left on earth. I don’t trust any source described as main stream for news. I listen to them sometimes just to refresh my disdain for them by pointing out their bias.

  • McCain foresaw potential crisis in 2006, Obama and Dems blocked Bill to fix

Proof the Democrats are responsible at least in part for this economic fiasco! And Obama was one of the people who helped to cause it while McCain was trying to get it fixed.

Sen. John McCain [R-AZ]: Mr. President, this week Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.

The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.

For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.

I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.

  • Big Surprise! DEMOCRAT State Sen.’s Son possible Palin Hacker

In a twist that is truly a [sarcasm on] shocker [sarcasm off] to many conservatives (especially those who have had their bumperstickered cars keyed and lawn signs vandalized), it appears that the felon who hacked into Gov Palin’s personal email account and stole (fizzy-lifting drinks!?) a bunch of what turned out to be innocuous information, is possibly a Democrat State Senator’s son who is attending the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. This is according to an article posted Wednesday afternoon in more than enough time to reach the mainstream media’s broadcast times. Wonder why it isn’t being reported except on a Tenn. news website?

The most interesting part of this “revelation” is found not in the article which is filled with mostly fluff after the first half of the article. The interesting stuff is posted as a comment at 5:53 p.m by someone calling themselves Somerschool. His information is more interesting than the whole official article above it.

This ongoing detective story is available to anyone who can google. The person who figured out Gov. Palin’s email bragged about it online. Here’s the opening paragraph of his boast:

    “rubico 09/17/08(Wed)12:57:22 No.85782652

Hello, /b/ as many of you might already know, last night sarah palin’s yahoo was “hacked” and caps were posted on /b/, i am the lurker who did it, and i would like to tell the story.”

He provides some detail about how he figured out the answers to Palin’s security questions. “I found out later though more research that they met at high school, so I did variations of that, high, high school, eventually hit on “Wasilla high” I promptly changed the password to popcorn and took a cold shower…”

Investigators quickly tracked the “rubico” identity back to David Kernell. The hacker’s choice of the password “popcorn” is probably a pun, not a coincidence.

Readers can google “palin and rubico” to follow the trail on their own. The evidence available at this time shows that (1) Sen. Kernell was not involved in this crime in any way and (2) Gov. Palin’s private emails were disappointingly innocuous. (source)

Isn’t Tennessee the same state with that moron State Rep (or Senator) who called Obama Jesus and Palin Pontius Pilate last week? I thought so.

Article commenter devan95 at 6:28 p.m. posted a perfect recap of the Democrats in this campaign so far:

First Rep. Coen of Memphis does the Pilate was a governor gaffe & now this Dem acorn falls from Dad’s tree. Add to that the loon that threatens a war if Hussein loses, his homeboy b-baller who said God damb the Star Spangle Banner, Rev. Flegle, Jerry Wright, bombers Ayers and Dorn, corrupt financier Resko, Fannie Mae financier crook and campaign bud Ralph Raines and a cast of charaters like Pam Anderson, Linsey Lohan and Babs Streisand and you have a formula for a landslide LOOOOOOOOOOOOser.

I just hope we don’t end up voting this guy Obama into office. Trust me. This guy is a powder keg of hurt and socialism waiting to happen. Remember this is the guy who said to a crowd of his fans with a straight face, “Even if I want to take them [guns] away, I don’t have the votes in Congress.” That was ‘WANT TO’ (as in his real desire) not ‘WANTED TO’ (a hypothetical scenario).

This is a party whose main female (Hillary) in a campaign luncheon speech once said, “We’re not coming to you, many of whom are well enough off that actually the tax cuts may have helped you, and say ‘We’re going to give you more.’ We’re saying, ‘You know what, for America to get back on track and be fiscally responsible, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good. ‘ ” (source)

  • Why do foreigners know what Speaker Pelosi and Dems don’t about how our government works?

Republican Party presidential candidate John McCain had the most to say. On Monday, he said “the foundation of our economy” was “strong,” adding that he opposed a government-led bailout of US insurer AIG. But now he’s promising further government steps “to prevent the kind of wild speculation that can put our markets at risk.” McCain’s explanation for the current crisis: “unbridled corruption and greed.”

But Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama didn’t move past superficialities, either. “We’re Americans. We’ve met tough challenges before and we can again.”

What else are they supposed to say? After all, US presidents have very little influence on stockmarkets. (source)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when asked Tuesday whether Democrats bear some of the responsibility regarding the current crisis on Wall Street, had a one-word answer: “No.” (source)

Then just WHO THE HELL is in charge of regulating the economy madam speaker?????

I’ll tell you who. It’s CONGRESS! This is the branch of the government that is tasked with oversight of writing regulating on our economy. This piece of sh!t economic FUBAR was done on YOUR watch MADAM PELOSI not the republican congress that was booted out with YOUR PERSONAL PROMISE to clean up these kinds of things!!! Nice clean up job. YOUR FIRED!

THIS KIND OF PARTISAN SH!T IS REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF! We have a government that either wants to rob us blind to buy votes form moronic baby people who want the government to wipe their asses or they want to line their pockets like an Enron executive and hope they get away with it before the bottom drops out. Well guess what! The music has stopped and the DEMOCRATS are left without a chair to sit in!

NOW SHUT THE @#^% UP, STOP TRYING TO PASS THE BUCK AND WORK TO FIX THIS WITHOUT TURNING OUR GOVERNMENT INTO A SOCIALIST CESSPOOL!

AND what kind of BULLSH!T is this:

Lawmakers say they are unlikely to take action before, or to delay, their planned adjournments — Sept. 26 for the House of Representatives, a week later for the Senate. While they haven’t ruled out returning after the Nov. 4 elections, they would rather wait until next year unless Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, who are leading efforts to contain the crisis, call for help. (source)

I WISH I HAD THE ABILITY TO F#CK UP MY JOB AND THEN TAKE OFF FOR TWO MONTHS AND LEAVE IT FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO FIGURE IT OUT!

They did this same crap when the oil drilling issue came to bare a couple of months ago. They left Republican Congressmen and women to protest in a dark House because Queen Pelosi didn’t want to discuss drilling for oil in our own country which will ultimately make our economy MORE stable!!!!!!

I wonder how many of these scumbags are going to be manning their paper shredders to get rid of any evidence they were double dipping or taking kick backs form these banks during their time at the helm?!?

This wrinkled prune doesn’t even have the intestinal fortitude to pull Charlie Rangle off his post as chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee which is charge of making TAX CODE after it was discovered that he was at the WORST cooking his taxes on income he didn’t declare and at BEST he was incompetent to file proper tax returns!!!! (source) You or I would be in jail and would have lost all of our belongings by now, but not this upright citizen advocate politician!!!

    AAAAAAAAAaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

DEMOCRATS YOU ARE JUST AS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS AS ANYONE ELSE!!! STOP PLAYING POLITICS WITH OTHER PEOPLES FUTURES!

  • Biden: “Patriotism = From each according to his ability, to each according to his need!”

    September 18, 2008
Biden: Paying higher taxes is patriotic
    Rick Moran

Joe Biden has given us a perfect illustration of how liberals see your money – not just cash you will be sending to the IRS but ALL of your hard earned dollars:

“We want to take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people,” Biden said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Noting that wealthier Americans would indeed pay more, Biden said: “It’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”

Forget for a moment that the top 5% of of the wealthiest Americans already have done their patriotic duty by paying 80% of the taxes from individuals. Forget also that there are 48 million families who, thanks to Republican tax cuts, pay nothing in taxes at all – zero, nada, zilch.

Believing that paying taxes is “patriotic” is idiocy. Biden and the Democrats are under the mistaken impression that whatever you make belongs to them and they are doing you a favor by letting you keep a certain percentage of it – that it is up to the taxpayer to be “patriotic” and pony up. Never mind cutting spending. Never mind dealing with the coming crisis in out of control entitlements.

Making the payment of taxes a question of patriotic devotion is sickening. Par for the course for Democrats who want us to be more like Sweden.

  • “We Have Hope Again!”

Will the Germans be happy under Hitler? Today millions of Germans are more than happy, they are ecstatic. They feel that they have had a moral and spiritual awaking.

Watch them as the Nazis match down the Berlin streets, with the military band playing a stirring march. In the eyes of the Brownshirts and of the spectators there shines an almost religious joy. Note the excitement of the children as they see the bright banners and admire their brothers in arms. See how the old folk smile, and say: “Germany is saved. We have hope again. Youth has been awakened.”

Go to a Hitler meeting and you will see more than happiness. You will feel the electric tenseness of a religious revival. You will see thousands of people swept by a primitive passion.

I stood upon the platform, a few feet from Hitler, as he addressed 25,000 people in Frankfurt-on-Main. Never have I known such ecstasy, such emotion as pervaded that vast hall. He seemed to hypnotise the crowd and they went mad with nationalism, mad with love of their leader, mad with hatred of all those who disagreed with him, mad with the beating of the drums and with the blaring of the trumpets.

They fixed their eyes upon Hitler, and whenever he finished a sentence, they would roar for minutes without stopping. When the speech came to an end, 25,000 people leapt to their feet, 25,000 hands were outstretched, and 25,000 voices shouted again and again: “Heil Hitler!”

Crowds are notorious for being carried away by oratory. What of private individuals? The families with which I stay in Germany are all happy over the advent of Hitler.

  • History rewind?

History could very well be repeating itself. The actions and professions of many people and the political leaders they follow, are all lining up in the very same way it did in the 20s and 30s of last century. The embracing of socialist utopianism by the Left and the messianic worshiping of their appointed Saviour is nothing short of scary in its parallel of how Hitler came to power. Couple this with the historical anti-white radicalism of Michelle Obama and Barack Obama’s connection to criminals and anti-American activist groups. Then add to this the almost 100% complete cooperation of the main stream media in covering up by omission or ignoring anything that might be negative toward Obama. And their complete fawning over him as the potential Saviour of “the People” makes the cult of personality that brought about Hitler and the Nazi party seem very similar.

The most ominous things I have read about all of this is not articles or pundits from the conservatives of today. It’s not the almost verbatim quotations of Obama and the communist planks, but articles written in 1933 by a journalist called GARETH JONES, before the Holocaust had really got started, about the rise of the Nazi party in Germany. These articles raised the hair on the back of my neck when I realized I was reading the very words I continue to hear (almost verbatim) coming from the Obama campaign today.

“I support the Nazis because I am tired to death of all the little parties which have been squabbling over the spoils of political warfare. I am for Hitler because he has put an end to fourteen years of democratic government which divided our people into camps bitterly loathing each other. I am for Hitler because he has revealed the corruption on which the old party bosses thrived.”(source)

“Obama is the only candidate who can bring about the important change this country needs because he is the only candidate with the ability to unite the country….we can’t afford to settle for eight more years of scandal and controversy.”(source)

A Saxon said to me: “Bravo, Hitler! He has made Germany one; and at last I can really say that I am a German first and foremost and not a Saxon.”(source)

“People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and … for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.”(source)

I had not been many hours in Germany at the end of May before I felt that much of what I saw and heard was strangely familiar. Where had I experienced before a similar atmosphere of idealism combined with fear, of unbounded hope on one side and of whispered despair on the other?

Then I realised that it was in Soviet Russia and in Fascist Italy that the same atmosphere had encircled me. When I added up in my mind the points of similarity between Berlin, Moscow and Rome I was astounded, for they clearly showed that the methods of the Nazis and of the Fascists are the same as those of the Bolsheviks, however much their aims may differ.

The first point of contact was the idealism of many of the leaders.

The Hitlerites expect a new heaven on earth, just as the Bolsheviks are convinced that they will build up in Russia a paradise. This idealism has led to an admirable feeling of self-sacrifice, courage, and selflessness, and the Brown Shirt who ‘in Germany is willing to lay down his life for his leader has his counterpart in the Russian Young Communist who will work twenty hours voluntarily for the sake of the Five Year Plan.(source)

The theatre has been put under the guidance of Nazis, who are turning it into a propaganda machine for the Nazification of Germany.

The use of the cinema, of the stage, the staging, of vast demonstrations to arouse public enthusiasm, the booming of Nazi speeches through loud-speakers as one goes through the streets, the thousands of ‘gay’ flags – all these methods are similar to the’ propaganda methods of the Soviet Union.

Even the worship of Hitler makes one think of the worship of Lenin in Russia and of Mussolini in Italy. In each office his photo hangs, just as Lenin’s and Stalin’s adorn the Bolshevik office. The cult of the leader is the feature of every dictatorship.
    (source)

I would greatly recommend everyone to read the articles [1] [2] by Gareth Jones since they are from a perspective that is cleansed of the current political discourse and bias. Read it and see if you saw the glaring similarities of what the Obama supporters are saying and what the Hitler supporters said back then to get him in office. It should scare the hell out of you!

  • Obama cruelly mocks McCain’s inability to use keyboard due to POW injuries

Boston Globe, 2000: War ‘injuries prevent him from typing on keyboard’…

    Published on NewsBusters.org
‘McCain Can’t (i.e., Doesn’t) E-Mail’ Claim Not Only a Lie; It’s Irrelevant to the Presidency
    By Tom Blumer
    Created 2008-09-13 10:52
John Stephenson at NewsBusters [0] early this morning asked, “Will (the) Media Report Obama’s Mocking of McCain’s Disability?”

The answer is “I doubt it,” at least beyond their blogs. Print edition or televised examples will be rare to non-existent.

Two other pertinent items will also probably be ignored:

Bill Clinton’s acknowledged lack of tech skills and virtual non-use of e-mail.
More important, the high likelihood that the next President of the United States, like his two predecessors, will rarely, if ever, use e-mail.
NB commenter “mikej” at Stephenson’s post [0] did some web searching a falsely giddy Team Obama apparently didn’t have the time for (or do they not know how?). “mikej” found the following January 28, 2004 CNN Reuters item [1] carried at CNN.com about Bill Clinton’s nearly non-existent e-mailing during his presidency (bolds after title are mine):

Clinton’s gift to Internet age: only 2 e-mails

The archives of the Bill Clinton presidential library will contain 39,999,998 e-mails by the former president’s staff and two by the man himself.

“The only two he sent,” Skip Rutherford, president of the Clinton Presidential Foundation, which is raising money for the library, said on Monday.

One of them may not actually qualify for electronic communication because it was a test to see if the commander in chief knew how to push the button on an e-mail.

Former Ohio Sen. John Glenn has the distinction of being the first American to orbit the Earth and the only person to receive an e-mail written by Clinton when he was in office.

The e-mail was sent with the help of Clinton staffers to the space shuttle while it was in orbit and Glenn was a part of the crew.

The bolded items show that Bill Clinton sent no official e-mails without assistance while he was president.

George W. Bush has also barely used e-mail as President, but it isn’t because he is unable.

An accessmylibrary.com item [2] that isn’t available without a library membership indicates that Bush stopped e-mailing family and friends once he entered office.

Though I could not find evidence of it (maybe I need help from “mikej”), my memory is that he was advised to stop using e-mail completely upon inauguration.

Regardless, by the time this Wall Street Journal blog item [3] appeared in October 2006, the president had virtually ceased using e-mail, for reasons that the new president will not, and more than likely should not, ignore (bold is mine):

In a CNBC interview with Maria Bartiromo, Bush was asked a question on many of our minds: I’m curious, have you ever Googled anybody? Do you use Google?

According to CNBC’s unofficial transcript, he replied: Occasionally. One of the things I’ve used on the Google is to pull up maps. It’s very interesting to see that. I forgot the name of the program, but you get the satellite and you can — like, I kind of like to look at the ranch on Google, reminds me of where I want to be sometimes. Yeah, I do it some. He added: I tend not to email or — not only tend not to email, I don’t email, because of the different record requests that can happen to a president. I don’t want to receive emails because, you know, there’s no telling what somebody’s email may — it would show up as, you know, a part of some kind of a story, and I wouldn’t be able to say, ‘Well, I didn’t read the email.’ ‘But I sent it to your address, how can you say you didn’t?’ So, in other words, I’m very cautious about emailing.

While we’re at it, let’s make sure the full record of refutation is all in one place (bolds are mine):

    (Boston Globe [4]; March 4, 2000; via Ace [5] and Sweetness & Light [6])

McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.

(Forbes; May 29, 2000 [7]; via Ace [8] and Jonah Goldberg [9] at the Corner)

In certain ways, McCain was a natural Web candidate. Chairman of the Senate Telecommunications Subcommittee and regarded as the U.S. Senate’s savviest technologist, McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. “She’s a whiz on the keyboard, and I’m so laborious,” McCain admits.

(New York Times [10]; July 13, 2008; via Ed Morrissey at Hot Air [11])

Q: But do you go on line for yourself?

Mr. McCain: They go on for me. I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself. I don’t expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need – including going to my daughter’s blog first, before anything else.

    Let’s review:

  • Barack Obama and his campaign took out an ad that, among other things, mocked opponent John McCain’s tech-savviness and inability to e-mail.
  • It turns out that the inability to e-mail is due to McCain’s war-caused physical handicaps. In fact, McCain has been an e-mail devotee for at least eight years, receiving help from a loving spouse to respond to messages.
  • It turns out that a credible argument can be made, as Jonah Goldberg at the Corner [12] has, that McCain “actually has more cyber-cred than Obama.” What about “regarded as the US Senate’s savviest technologist” doesn’t Team Obama understand?
  • Obama and his campaign used as its central claim McCain’s supposed inability to do something (which he actually does, with help) that the next president will probably continue not doing, or will at most do very rarely, for the reasons President Bush cited.
  • In the process, the Obama campaign and its candidate wasted time and money on an irrelevant claim, while exposing its deep-seated guttural instincts and thought processes for all the world to see.
  • Keep it up, guys and gals. On this one, it probably won’t matter that traditional media will steadfastly ignore it.

  • Obama camp snubs Girl Scouts, McCain camp doesn’t hesitate to help

Stark differences in how the McCain and Obama campaign workers treat the “little people”. I’ve always said that you can tell the character of a man by the company he keeps. I think this includes the employees and volunteers he draws to his cause(s) as well.

    Example:

An article from the Chicago Tribune Wednesday, Sepr 10th, showed another glimpse into the campaigns.

Michelle Walsh wanted to teach her 2nd-grade Girl Scout troop about the presidential election.

What the Naperville mother got was a lesson about the rough-and-tumble world of political finances.

Walsh said she called both campaigns and asked for free trinkets she could give the 7-year-olds to help them learn. If they did well, she explained, each Scout would earn her “Ms. President” patch. The tchotchkes would provide added incentive.

A representative for John McCain responded immediately, sending Walsh a box filled with stickers and signs.

The Barack Obama camp wasn’t quite so generous, Walsh said.

The troop leader said she called Obama’s Chicago campaign headquarters and explained why she needed the curios. Walsh said she was directed to Obama’s Web site—where she could buy all the buttons and posters she wanted.

The article says that after the gaff became public and the upper echelon of the Obama campaign cleaned themselves off and changed pants, they sent a free box to the girl scout troop and threw the unidentified campaign worker (who they make sound like just walked off the street and started answering phones without anyone realizing she was doing it) under the bus and claimed totaly ignorance of the incident.

This reminds me of the report about the Obama supporters who in order to get tickets to his speech had to sign up for manditory campaign duty of they wouldn’t get tickets.

But it all worked out for the girl scouts and they lived happily ever after. The End.
