I've been reading your blog for a little while now & find it refreshing to hear someone speak the truth amongst all the lies.

I have a "friend," and Anti-McCain/Pro-Obama activist that made this comment when I directed them to your site. I just couldn't make much sense of the gibberish they posted to me.

I would love to hear your response to this...

"I've done the research. I know who represents change. I know who represents the powerful few extremely wealthy. I know what has caused our current economic crisis, and the last eight years of digression. If you are for McCain, and you are not extremely wealthy, I emplore you. Do the research.

I see a lot of hate thrown around on these blogs. People using words like “Socialism”, “Marxism”, and "Communism", with such disdain. Technically, America is a “Social Democracy”. We have welfare. We have environmental protection laws to combat global warming and increase alternative energy funding (laws that only work if CEOs invest a little in R&... Read MoreD). We have a foreign policy supporting the promotion of democracy and the protection of human rights. We also support social rights, civil rights, and civil liberties. We have a mixed economy consisting of private enterprise, but with government owned or subsidized programs. We have government bodies that, when used, regulate private enterprise in the interests of workers, consumers, and fair competition. We advocate for fair trade over free trade, despite current setbacks due to an administration hell bent on the monopolization of power. We also have an extensive system of social security, with the “stated” goal of counteracting the effects of poverty. These things were put into place to alleviate the polarization of power and wealth that occur under a pure Democracy. Bush has done more than any president in history to increase his power and break down the system of checks and balances deemed necessary so as not to drift toward dictatorship."
